18Superannuation of employees of development corporations.
For the avoidance of doubt it is hereby declared that development corporations established under this Act are undertakers within the meaning of section five of the [1 Edw. 8. & 1 Geo. 6. c. 68.] Local Government Superannuation Act, 1937 (which provides for the participation in the benefits of superannuation funds maintained under that Act of employees of undertakers exercising powers under any Act or statutory order).
