In section 22, for any reference to the General Registry Office there shall be substituted a reference to the General Register Office, and for the words " Acts, 1854 to 1938 " wherever they occur, there shall be substituted the words " Act 1965 ".

In section 23(3) after the words " 1854 to 1938 " there shall be inserted the words " or under the Registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages (Scotland) Act 1965 ".

In section 27, for the words " section two of the [1934 c. 19.] Registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages (Scotland) (Amendment) Act 1934 (which provide for the re-registration of the birth of legitimated persons)" there shall be substituted the words " section 20 of the Registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages (Scotland) Act 1965 (which provide for re-registration of births in certain cases) ".
