In section 24(6) (ordinary residence of patient), for the words " Part II of the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1947 " there shall be substituted the words " in a hospital vested in the Secretary of State ".

In section 47 (removal of persons in need of care), the following amendments shall be made—
a
in subsections (2) and (7), for the words " medical officer of health " there shall be substituted the words " designated medical officer ";
b
in subsection (8), for the words " Act 1947 " there shall be substituted the words " Acts 1947 to 1972 ".
