(2)F2. . ., Part II of the M1Transport Act 1968 shall have effect in its application to England and Wales subject to the amendments specified in Part I of Schedule 24 to this Act, being amendments—

(a)to assimilate in certain respects the provisions of the said Part II to those of Part II of the M2Transport (London) Act 1969;

(b)to make further provision with respect to the control of a Passenger Transport Executive by the Passenger Transport Authority; and

(c)to remove, or to transfer to the Passenger Transport Authority, certain functions originally conferred on the Secretary of State.
