Local representative committees

44 Recognition of local representative committees.

Where F1a Family Health Services Authority is satisfied that a committee formed for its locality is representative—

a

of the medical practitioners providing general medical services or general ophthalmic services in that F2locality, or

b

of the dental practitioners providing general dental services in that F2locality, or

c

of the ophthalmic opticians . . . F3 providing general ophthalmic services in that F2locality, or

d

of the persons providing pharmaceutical services in that F2locality,

F4the Family Health Services Authority may recognise that committee; and any committee so recognised shall be called the Local Medical Committee, the Local Dental Committee, the Local Optical Committee or the Local Pharmaceutical Committee, as the case may be, for the F2locality concerned.

Any such committee may with the F5approval of the Family Health Services Authority delegate any of their functions, with or without restrictions or conditions, to sub-committees composed of members of that committee.
