67Short title, commencement and extent
(1)This Act may be cited as the Adoption (Scotland) Act 1978.
(2)This Act shall come into force on such date as the Secretary of State may by order appoint and different dates may be appointed for different provisions.
(3)Until the date appointed under subsection (2) for sections 3, 4, 5 and 8, in this Act and in the [1958 c. 5. (7 & 8 Eliz. 2.).] Adoption Act 1958 " adoption agency " means a local authority or a registered adoption society within the meaning of the said Act of 1958.
(4)This Act shall extend to Scotland only.
