Section 2 of the [1971 c. 26.] Betting, Gaming and Lotteries (Amendment) Act 1971 (which relates to the notification of special betting days) shall have effect as if—
(i)in subsection (2) for the word " four " in each place where it occurs there were substituted the word " six "; and
(ii)after subsection (2) there were inserted the following subsection—
“(2A)(a)(ii)The Secretary of State may from time to time by order provide that subsection (2) above shall have effect with the substitution, for the references to six days, of references to such other number of days as may be specified in the order.
(b)An order under this subsection shall be made by statutory instrument and shall be subject to annulment in pursuance of a resolution of either House of Parliament.”.
