SCHEDULE 16Bodies to whom Part X applies

1A county council.

2A district council.

3The Greater London Council.

4A London borough council.

5The Common Council of the City of London.

6The Commission for the New Towns.

7A development corporation established under the [1965 c. 59.] New Towns Act 1965.

8An urban development corporation established under this Act

9The Housing Corporation.

10The British Airports Authority.

11The Civil Aviation Authority.

12British Shipbuilders.

13The British Steel Corporation.

14The National Coal Board.

15The British Broadcasting Corporation.

16The Independent Broadcasting Authority.

17The Post Office.

18Statutory undertakers. In paragraph 18 above " statutory undertakers" means persons authorised by any enactment to carry on any railway, light railway, road transport, water transport, canal, inland navigation, dock or harbour undertaking, or any undertaking for the supply of electricity, gas, hydraulic power or water:

Provided that where any persons carry on a business to the main purpose of which any such undertaking is merely ancillary those persons shall not be treated as statutory undertakers for the purposes of paragraph 18 above.
