(1)The M1Magistrates’ Courts Act 1980 shall have effect subject to the amendments specified in Schedule 9 to this Act, being amendments to modify the requirement that a person may not be remanded in custody without being brought before the court.
(2)Nothing in this section shall affect the operation of section 2 of the M2Imprisonment (Temporary Provisions)Act 1980.
