6U.K.In section 158(1) of the M4Mines Act (Northern Ireland) 1969, in the definition of “doctor” for the words “the Medical Act 1956” there shall be substituted the words “ section 55 of the Medical Act 1983 ”.

7U.K.In section 54(1) of the Nurses and Midwives Act (Northern Ireland) 1970, in the definition of “doctor” for the words “the Medical Acts 1956 to 1969” there shall be substituted the words “ section 55 of the Medical Act 1983 ”.

““doctor” means a registered medical practitioner within the meaning of Schedule 1 to the Interpretation Act 1978”.

10U.K.In Article 2(2) of the Health and Personal Social Services (Northern Ireland) Order 1972, in the definition of “medical practitioner” for the words “the Medical Acts 1956 to 1969” there shall be substituted the words “ the Medical Act 1983 ”.
