[F14.(1)A project licence that would authorise the application of regulated procedures to cats, dogs or equidae must not be granted unless the Secretary of State has verified that Condition 9 is met.U.K.

(a)only by the use of cats, dogs or equidae; or
(b)only by the use of cats, dogs, equidae and other animals which it is not practicable to obtain.]
