8Abolition of requirement relating to requisite benefits

The requirement of the [1975 c. 60.] Social Security Pensions Act 1975 that for an occupational pension scheme to be contracted-out in relation to an earner's employment it must provide requisite benefits shall cease except so far as it relates to guaranteed minimum pensions and except to that extent shall be treated for the purposes of section 50 of that Act (requirement of consent of Occupational Pensions Board to alterations of rules of schemes) as if it had never existed.
