Subject to the following provisions of this Schedule, a person who becomes a member of a college council in pursuance of paragraph 1 above shall hold and vacate office in accordance with the terms of his appointment.

A member of a college council, other than the principal of the college, may resign his office at any time by giving notice in writing to the Secretary of State.
