SCHEDULE 10E+W ACQUISITION OF INTERESTS FROM LOCAL AUTHORITIES ETC.

Disapplication of provisions relating to disposals by local authorities etc.E+W

1(1)It is hereby declared that nothing in any of the provisions specified in sub-paragraph (2) (which impose requirements as to consent or consultation or other restrictions in relation to disposals falling within those provisions) applies to any disposal of a freehold or leasehold interest in any premises which is made in pursuance of this Chapter.E+W

(2)The provisions referred to in sub-paragraph (1) are—

(a)sections 32 and 43 of the M1Housing Act 1985 (disposals of land by local authorities) and section 133 of the M2Housing Act 1988 (certain subsequent disposals);

[F1(b)sections 148 and 172 of the Housing and Regeneration Act 2008 (disposals by registered providers of social housing);

(ba)sections 9 and 42 of the Housing Act 1996 (disposals by registered social landlords);

(bb)section 9 of the Housing Associations Act 1985 (disposals by unregistered housing associations);]

(c)section 79(1) and (2) of the Housing Act 1988 (disposals by housing action trusts) and section 81 of that Act (certain subsequent disposals); and
