Young offenders absconding from secure training centres

Section 49 of the M1Prison Act 1952 (persons unlawfully at large) shall be amended as follows.

In subsection (1), after the words “young offenders institution” there shall be inserted the words “
or a secure training centre
”
.

In subsection (2), for the words between “detained in a” and “is unlawfully” there shall be substituted the words “
young offenders institution or in a secure training centre
”
.

In subsection (2), in proviso (a), for the words after “prison” there shall be substituted the words “
remand centre, young offenders institution or secure training centre
”
.
