12The repeal by this Act of the National Health Service Reorganisation Act 1973 does not prevent the [1973 c. 32.] continuing operation on and after 1st April 1996 of section 44 of that Act (provision for early retirement in lieu of compensation for loss of office) or regulations made under that section (or of any other provision relating to that section or such regulations).
