1In section 10 of the Slave Trade Act 1824 (persons dealing in slaves) except as it applies to Northern Ireland, for the words from “and are hereby declared” to the end substitute “guilty of an offence and shall be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding fourteen years”.
2In section 11 of the Slave Trade Act 1824 (seamen etc, guilty of misdemeanour) for the words “and they are hereby declared to be guilty of a misdemeanour only” substitute “guilty of an offence”.
