SCHEDULE 1U.K.Forfeiture of terrorist cash

PART 1 U.K.Introductory

Terrorist cashU.K.

1(1)This Schedule applies to cash (“terrorist cash”) which—U.K.

(a)is within subsection (1)(a) or (b) of section 1, or

(b)is property earmarked as terrorist property.

(2)Cash” means—

(a)coins and notes in any currency,

(b)postal orders,

(c)cheques of any kind, including travellers’ cheques,

(d)bankers’ drafts,

(e)bearer bonds and bearer shares,

found at any place in the United Kingdom.

(3)Cash also includes any kind of monetary instrument which is found at any place in the United Kingdom, if the instrument is specified by the Secretary of State by order.

(4)The power to make an order under sub-paragraph (3) is exercisable by statutory instrument, which is subject to annulment in pursuance of a resolution of either House of Parliament.
