Powers in relation to winding up of occupational pension schemes

A freezing order must specify the period for which it has effect.

The period specified must not exceed three months.

The Regulator may on one or more occasions by order extend the period for which the order has effect.

But the total period for which the order has effect must not exceed six months.

This section is subject to sections 27, 28 and 29 (effect of winding up and assessment period on freezing orders).
