Chapter 2E+WLocal pharmaceutical services: pilot schemes

136Designation of priority neighbourhoods or premisesE+W

(1)The Secretary of State may make regulations allowing [F1NHS England] to designate—

(a)[F2relevant areas],

(b)premises, or

(c)descriptions of premises,

for the purposes of this section.

(2)The regulations may, in particular, make provision—

(a)as to the circumstances in which, and the [F3relevant areas] or premises in relation to which, designations may be made or maintained,

(b)allowing [F1NHS England] to defer consideration of pharmaceutical list applications relating to [F3relevant areas], premises or descriptions of premises that have been designated,

(c)allowing a designation to be cancelled in prescribed circumstances,

(d)requiring a designation to be cancelled—

(i)if the Secretary of State gives a direction to that effect, or

(ii)in prescribed circumstances.

(3)Pharmaceutical list applications” means applications for inclusion in a pharmaceutical list.

[F4(4)“Relevant area” has the same meaning as in section 129(2A).]
