Commencement

351.The following provisions come into force on Royal Assent:

  • Section 64 (Northern Ireland).

  • Paragraph 8 of Schedule 5 and section 40 (Minor and consequential amendments relating to Part 2) in so far as it relates to that provision; and

  • The general provisions in sections 65 (interpretation), 66 (financial provisions), 68(transition), 69 (extent), 70 (commencement) and 71 (short title).

352.Other measures come into force either two months after Royal Assent or on a day appointed by the Secretary of State by order (see section 70).
