The Local Government Act 2003 is amended as follows.

In section 23(1) (local authorities to which the provisions about capital finance etc and accounts apply) after paragraph (m) insert—

a fire and rescue authority created by an order under section 4A of that Act;

In section 33(1) (expenditure grant: interpretation) after paragraph (l) insert—

a fire and rescue authority created by an order under section 4A of that Act;

In section 95(7) (power to trade in function-related activities through a company: interpretation) in the definition of “relevant authority” after paragraph (ab) insert—

a fire and rescue authority created by an order under section 4A of the Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004;

In section 97(11) (power to modify enactments in connection with charging or trading: interpretation) in the definition of “relevant authority” after paragraph (aa) insert—
ab
a fire and rescue authority created by an order under section 4A of the Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004;
