  1. Introductory Text

  2. No Railway to be opened without Notice to the Board of Trade.

  3. II.Penalty for opening Railways without Notice.

  4. III.Returns to be made by Railway Companies.

  5. IV.Penalty for making false Returns.

  6. V.Board of Trade may appoint Persons to inspect Railways.

  7. VI.Penalty on Persons obstructing Inspector.

  8. VII.Copies of existing Bye Laws to be laid before the Board of Trade ; otherwise to be void.

  9. VIII.No future Bye Laws to be valid till Two Calendar Months after they have been laid before the Board of Trade.

  10. IX.Board of Trade may disallow Bye Laws.

  11. X.Provisions of Railway Acts requiring Confirmation of Bye Laws repealed.

  12. XI.Board of Trade may direct Prosecutions to enforce Provisions of Railway Acts. Notice to be given to the Company.

  13. XII.Prosecutions to be under Sanction of Board of Trade, and within One Year after the Offence.

  14. XIII.Punishment of Servants of Railway Companies guilty of Misconduct.

  15. XIV.Justice of the Peace empowered to send any Case to be tried by the Quarter Sessions.

  16. XV.Punishment of Persons obstructing Railway.

  17. XVI.For Punishment of Persons obstructing the Officers of any Railway Company, or trespassing upon any Railway.

  18. XVII.Proceedings not to be quashed for Want of Form, or removed into the Superior Courts.

  19. XVIII.Repeal of all Provisions in Railway Acts that empower Two Justices to decide Disputes respecting the proper Places for Openings in the Ledges or Flanches of Railways.

  20. XIX.Board of Trade to determine such Disputes in future.

  21. XX.Communications to the Board to be left at their Office. Communications by the Board how to be authenticated. What shall be deened good Service on Railway Company.

  22. XXI.Meaning of the Words " Railway " and " Company ".

  23. XXII.Act may be repealed this Session.
