An Act to alter certain Provisions in the Acts for the Commutation of Tithes, the Copyhold Acts, and the Acts for the Inclosure, Exchange, and Improvement of Land; and to make Provision towards defraying the Expense of the Copyhold, Inclosure, and Tithe Office.

II, Board of Agriculture and Fisheries Act 1903 (c. 31), s. 1(1), Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries Act 1919 (c. 91), s. 1, Tithe Act 1936 (c. 43), ss. 4, 30(1)(a), Sch. 2, S.I. 1955/554 (1955 I p. 1200), 1959/1971 (1959 II p. 2618), 1965/143, 1967/156 and 1970/1681 Act except so far as it applies in relation to any other of the Tithe Acts 1836-1951: powers transferred (1.7.1999) by virtue of S.I. 1999/672, art. 2, Sch.1
Notwithstanding any provisions in the said Acts contained, in all proceedings upon applications made under any of the said Acts by any person or persons interested within the meaning of the same, in which it is necessary or expedient, in the opinion of the Commissioners, that an inquiry should be made by an assistant commissioner, and a meeting held by him, the Commissioners, before they refer the same to such assistant commissioner, shall take such security as they shall deem right for the payment of any costs which they may incur in the matter of such inquiry and meeting, including all expenses of such assistant commissioner’s attendance: . . .
