In exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 65(7) of the Criminal Law Act 1977, I hereby make the following Order:—
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Criminal Law Act 1977 (Commencement No. 9) Order 1980.
(2) In the case of any provision specified in the Schedule to this Order which (by virtue of sections 63(2) and 65(10) of the Criminal Law Act 1977) extends to Scotland nothing in this Order shall bring the provision into force in its application to Scotland.
2. The provisions of the Criminal Law Act 1977 specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this Order (which relate to the matters specified in column 2 thereof) shall come into force on 1st December 1980.

This Order brings into force on 1st December 1980 the provisions of the Criminal Law Act 1977 set out in the Schedule to the Order. It does not apply in Scotland.
Other Orders bringing into force provisions of that Act were made by S.I. 1977/1365, 1426, 1682, 1744 (for Scotland), 1978/712, 900 (for Scotland) and 1980/487, 587 (for Scotland).
The provisions of the Criminal Justice (Scotland) Act 1963 referred to in this Appendix extend to England and Wales by virtue of section 53(1) of that Act.
The provisions of the District Courts (Scotland) Act 1975 referred to in this Appendix extend to England and Wales by virtue of section 27(1) of that Act.
