In exercise of the powers conferred on me by paragraph 30(1) of Schedule 3 to the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982, I hereby make the following Order:—
1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1982
2. So far as it relates to sex cinemas, Schedule 3 to the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982 shall come into force on 13th October 1982.

This Order brings into force on 13th October 1982 Schedule 3 to the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982 so far as it relates to sex cinemas. The remainder of the Schedule came into force on 13th July, when the Act received Royal Assent. By section 2 of the Act Schedule 3 may be adopted by any district council or London borough council or the Common Council of the City of London passing a resolution that it is to apply to their area.
