SCHEDULE 3E+WSHORTHAND WRITERS' REMUNERATION

1. For attendance£51.80
2. Per folio of written record72.3p plus 4p per folio for all copies.
3. Travelling time£5.44 per hour after first hour of each journey.

4.  In addition to the items in paragraphs 1 to 3 the following London weighting allowances (see note below) are payable in relation to the location of the court or other place concerned—E+W

Note.  The rate at which London weighting allowances are payable is determined as follows:E+W

(a)  InnerThe area within a radius of 5 miles from Charing Cross (statue of King Charles I).

(b)  IntermediateThe area outside that specified in paragraph (a) but within a radius of 10 miles from Charing Cross.

(c)  Outer

(i)The area outside those specified in paragraph (a) and (b) but within a radius of 18 miles from Charing Cross; or

(ii)the former Borough of St Albans, Herts; or

(iii)the former Urban District of Slough, Bucks; or

(iv)the following towns whose boundary is intersected by the 18 miles radius from Charing Cross:—

  • Abbots Langley

  • Chertsey

  • Egham

  • Fetcham

  • Godstone

  • Hatfield

  • Redhill

  • Rickmansworth

  • South Ockenden

  • Stone

  • Swanscombe

  • Weybridge
