ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

Article 2 of this Order brings into force on 31st May 1991 provisions of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 relating to—the separation of waste regulation from waste disposal functions where the same authority has both functions;waste disposal plans of waste regulation authorities;functions of waste disposal authorities, including transitional arrangements;supervision and enforcement;registers relating to deposits in the sea etc;certain amendments of the Control of Pollution (Amendment) Act 1989 and related repeals.
