The Licensing of Air Carriers (Amendment) Regulations 1993

The Secretary of State for Transport, being a Minister designated1 for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 19722 in relation to measures relating to the licensing of air carriers established in the Community, in exercise of the powers conferred by that section hereby makes the following Regulations:

These Regulations may be cited as the Licensing of Air Carriers (Amendment) Regulations 1993 and shall come into force on 19th February 1993.

In regulation 2(1) of the Licensing of Air Carriers Regulations 19923 for the words from “and” to the end there shall be substituted the following—

“the Council Regulation” means Council Regulation (EEC) No 2407/92 on licensing of air carriers4; and

“United Kingdom national” has the same meaning as in section 105(1) of the Civil Aviation Act 19825.
