Coming into force

The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, the Secretary of State for Scotland and the Secretary of State for Wales, acting jointly, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 5(2) of and Schedule 1 to the Animal Health Act 19811, section 11 of the Channel Tunnel Act 1987 (c. 53) and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:

Title and commencement1

This Order may be cited as the Diseases of Animals (Therapeutic Substances) (Revocation) Order 1993 and shall come into force on 14th June 1993.

Revocation2

The Diseases of Animals (Therapeutic Substances) Order 19522, the Diseases of Animals (Therapeutic Substances) (Amendment) Order 19533 and the Diseases of Animals (Therapeutic Substances) (Amendment) Order 19814 are hereby revoked.

Amendment3

In the Importation of Animal Products and Poultry Products Order 19805 in the Schedule the words “to the provisions of the Diseases of Animals (Therapeutic Substances) Order 1952 or” shall be deleted.

In the Channel Tunnel (Amendment of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Import Legislation) Order 19906 in Schedule 2 the references to the Diseases of Animals (Therapeutic Substances) Order 1952 shall be deleted.
