Whereas the Secretary of State for Transport is for the purposes of Part I of the Ports Act 1991(1) the appropriate Minister in relation to the Clyde Port Authority;
And whereas the Secretary of State is satisfied as to the matters mentioned in paragraphs (a), (b) and (c) of subsection (1) of section 7 of that Act:
Now, therefore, the Secretary of State, after consulting the Authority in pursuance of the said subsection (1), in exercise of the powers conferred on him by that subsection and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:–
1. This Order may be cited as the Clyde Port Authority (Dissolution) Order 1993.
2. The Clyde Port Authority shall be dissolved on 4th August 1993.

This Order dissolves the Clyde Port Authority on 4th August 1993. On that day any property, rights and liabilities to which the Authority are entitled or subject immediately before that day are by virtue of section 7 of the Ports Act 1991 transferred to and become property, rights and liabilities of the Authority’s successor company, Clydeport Limited.
