(This note is not part of the Order)
The Order authorises—
(a)the maintenance and operation of an existing railway (Railway No.1) consisting of part of the former Great Central Railway in the parishes of Ruddington and East Leake in the borough of Rushcliffe, Nottinghamshire; and
(b)the construction, maintenance and operation of a new railway (Railway No.2) within the former Ministry of Defence Ordnance Depot in the parish of Ruddington.
The Order contains provisions for the maintenance and operation of those railways, including powers to construct and maintain a level crossing carrying Railway No.2 across Asher Lane, Ruddington.
The applicants for the Order are Great Central Railway (Nottingham) Limited and Great Central Railway (1976) plc.
Copies of the works plan and sections may be inspected at all reasonable hours at Loughborough Central Station, Loughborough, Leicestershire.
