The Landlord and Tenant Act 1985106 is amended as follows.

In section 14(4)111 (repairing obligations in leases: exceptions), for “registered housing association” substitute “registered social landlord”.

In section 26(3)(a)107 (exceptions to service charge controls &c.: meaning of long tenancy), for “registered” substitute “a registered social landlord”.

In section 38108 (minor definitions), for the definition of “registered” substitute—

“registered social landlord” has the same meaning as in the Housing Act 1985 (see section 5(4) and (5) of that Act);.

In section 39 (index of defined expressions), for “registered (in relation to a housing association)” substitute “registered social landlord”.
