The Family Proceedings Fees (Amendment) (No. 2) Order 1997

27th March 1997

The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 41 of the Matrimonial and Family Proceedings Act 1984(1), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, with the concurrence of the Treasury, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation, commencement and interpretation

1.  This Order may be cited as the Family Proceedings Fees (Amendment) (No. 2) Order 1997 and shall come into force on 27th March 1997.

Amendment to the Family Proceedings Fees Order 1991

2.  In article 3(b) of the Family Proceedings Fees Order 1991(2), after “income support” there shall be inserted “or family credit”.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order amends the Family Proceedings Fees Order 1991 by restoring the exemption from court fees for those in receipt of family credit.
