This Order brings into force—section 528 of the Education Act 1996 (which provides for a duty on local education authorities to publish disability statements relating to further education) in its application to England on 1st August 1997; andSections 8 and 348 of the Education Act 1996 (which relate respectively to compulsory school age and to the provision of special education at schools which are not maintained schools) together with associated consequential amendments and repeals on 1st September 1997.
