This Order provides for the coming into force on 23rd February 1999 of powers under section 51 of the Social Security Act 1998 (c. 14) enabling Regulations to be made relating to national insurance contributions. For all other purposes this Order provides that section 51 shall come into force on 6th April 1999.
It further provides that section 86(1) in so far as it relates to paragraphs 16, 58(1), 59 to 61, 71(b), (c) and (e), 74, 75, 77(2) to (5), 90, 92 to 94, 99(3), 110(1)(b), 126 to 128 and 133 of Schedule 7 and section 86(2) in so far as it relates to certain repeals consequential upon the coming into force of the above provisions are to be brought into force on 6th April 1999.
All the provisions brought into force by this Order relate to national insurance contributions.
This Order does not impose a charge on business.
