Where necessary, sick or injured animals shall be isolated in suitable accommodation with, where appropriate, dry comfortable bedding.

Notwithstanding sub-paragraph (1), in the following cases, it shall be sufficient for the purposes of this paragraph to comply with the following specific provisions—
a
in the case of calves, paragraph 5 of Schedule 4; and
b
in the case of pigs, paragraph 3 of Schedule 6.
