Within the period of 28 days after expiry of the last date of compliance with any directions given under rule 19 above or, where the case is one to which section 17(4)(d) of the Measure applies, the registrar shall lay all the documents submitted to the registry before the chancellor who shall give directions as to a time and place for the hearing of the case.

In addition to notifying the parties the registrar shall send to the archdeacon, the Council, the advisory committee, and any other body which has given advice to the chancellor, written notice of the time and place of the hearing.
