This Order, which applies in England only (article 1(2)), amends the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Order 1978 (S.I. 1978/32, as amended), referred to in this Order as “the 1978 Order”.
This Order amends Schedule 1 to the 1978 Order by deleting the entries for a number of disinfectants from Schedule 1 to that Order (article 2(a) and Schedule 1), by substituting entries in that Schedule for other disinfectants (article 2(b) and Schedule 2) and by adding an entry for one other approved disinfectant (article 2(c) and Schedule 3) to that Schedule.
This Order also replaces Schedule 2 of the 1978 Order (article 2(d) and Schedule 4). Schedule 2 to the 1978 Order previously listed disinfectants that were approved for a transitional period until 30 June 1999. That period has now expired and there are currently no disinfectants approved on a transitional basis.
A Regulatory Impact Assessment has not been prepared in respect of this Order.
