23. After section 40(2)(d) of the Forestry Act 1967(1) (land not subject to compulsory purchase under the Act) is inserted—
“(e)land held or used by a universal service provider (within the meaning of the Postal Services Act 2000) for any purpose in connection with the provision of a universal postal service (within the meaning of that Act).”.
1967 c. 10. Section 40(2) was amended by article 3 of, and Part I of Schedule 1 to, S.I. 1974/595, article 3 of S.I. 1970/211, section 180(1) of, and paragraph 69 of Schedule 13 to, the Local Government etc (Scotland) Act 1994 and section 67(4) of, and Part II of Schedule 9 to, the Gas Act 1986, section 112(4) of, and Schedule 18 to, the Electricity Act 1989 and section 190 of, and Part I of Schedule 27 to, the Water Act 1989.
