18.—(1) In section 19 of the Local Government Act 1988 (provisions supplementary to or consequential on section 17), in subsection (6), after “Local Government Act 1972”, there shall be inserted “, regulations under section 19 of the Local Government Act 2000 (discharge of functions of and by another local authority)”.
(2) In Schedule 2 to the Local Government Act 1988(1) (public supply or works contracts: the public authorities), after “A local authority.”, there shall be inserted “An executive of a local authority (within the meaning of Part II of the Local Government Act 2000).”.
There are amendments to Schedule 2 which are not relevant to this Order.
