7.—(1) The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 is amended as follows.
(2) In section 7(6)(1), for “the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions” there is substituted “the Secretary of State”.
(3) In Schedule 5(2), for “The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions” (in each place it occurs) there is substituted “The Secretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions”.
s.7(6) was amended by the Road Traffic Act 1991 (c. 40), s.81, Sched. 7, para 3 and the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions Order 1997, S.I. 1997/2971, Art.6(1), Sched., paras 6 and 7.
