Bodies no longer subject to investigation

274.  In Schedule 2(1) to the Parliamentary Commissioner Act 1967, the entries in relation to the following are repealed—

  • the Building Societies Commission;

  • the Friendly Societies Commission; and

  • the Registry of Friendly Societies (and Note 2, which relates to that entry is also repealed).

Functions of administrative staff of certain tribunals subject to investigation by Commissioner

275.  In Schedule 4(2) to the Parliamentary Commissioner Act 1967 (relevant tribunals for the purposes of section 5(7)), before the entry relating to the Financial Services Tribunal(3) insert—

  • Financial Services and Markets Tribunal constituted under section 132 of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000..

Schedule 2 was substituted by the Parliamentary and Health Service Commissioners Act 1987 (c. 39) s. 1(2), Schedule 1 and the entry relating to the Friendly Societies Commission was inserted by the Friendly Societies Act 1992 (c. 40) Schedule 1, paragraph 12.
