Appointed days in relation to section 28C arrangements

4.—(1) For the purposes of making regulations, 3rd February 2004 is the day appointed for the coming into force of section 177(1) and (2) of the Act in so far as it relates to section 28D(1)(bc) of the 1977 Act.

(2) 1st March 2004 is the day appointed for the coming into force of the following provisions of the Act as they relate to primary medical services or personal medical services only—

(a)section 177(2) in so far as it is not in force and (3) to (11) and section 177(1) in so far as it relates to section 177(2) to (7);

(b)paragraphs 14 to 17 of Schedule 11 and section 184 and paragraph 7 of that Schedule in so far as it relates to those paragraphs; and

(c)the entries in Schedule 14 relating to sections 28C(3)(a) and (7), 28D(2), 28DA, 28E(2)(b) and the words following that paragraph, 28E(3)(f), (g) and (k) and (5) to (7) of the 1977 Act and section 196 in so far as it relates to those entries.

(3) 1st April 2004 is the day appointed for the coming into force of the following provisions of the Act as they relate to primary medical services or personal medical services only—

(a)section 177(12) in so far as it provides for section 28F and 28H of the 1977 Act to cease to have effect, and

(b)section 178.
