In exercise of their powers under section 10 of the Opticians Act 1989 and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, the General Optical Council hereby make the following Rules—
1. These Rules may be cited as the Registration and Enrolment (Amendment No. 2) Rules 2004 and shall come into force on 1st January 2005.
2. In the Registration and Enrolment Rules 1976 (which in their original form are scheduled to the General Optical Council (Registration and Enrolment Rules) Order of Council 1977(1) the Tables shown in the Appendix shall be substituted by the following:

3. The Registration and Enrolment (Amendment) Rules 2004 are hereby revoked(2).
