The GB competent authority shall notify the relevant competent authority in another member State in the circumstances set out in sub-section 1.8.2.2 of ADR in relation to carriage by road or of RID in relation to carriage by rail.

If the GB competent authority receives a notification from another member State pursuant to sub-section 1.8.2.2 of ADR in relation to carriage by road or RID in relation to carriage by rail then it shall comply with the requirements of sub-section 1.8.2.3 of ADR in relation to carriage by road or of RID in relation to carriage by rail.
