The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon her by section 40 of the Horserace Betting and Olympic Lottery Act 2004(1), hereby makes the following Order:
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Horserace Betting and Olympic Lottery Act 2004 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2005.
(2) In this Order “the Act” means the Horserace Betting and Olympic Lottery Act 2004.
2. The following provisions of the Act shall come into force on 8th July 2005:
sections 25, 26, 27, 29, 30, 31, 32;
subsections (6) and (9)(c) of section 34; and
Schedule 5.

This order brings into force on 8th July 2005 those provisions in Part 3 of the Horserace Betting and Olympic Lottery Act 2004 which are not already in force. In particular, commencement of section 29 allows for the Olympic Lottery Distributor to be set up.
