The Railways Act 2005 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2005

The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 60(2) of the Railways Act 2005(1), hereby makes the following Order:
Citation
1. This Order may be cited as the Railways Act 2005 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2005.
Commencement
2. Section 5 of the Railways Act 2005 shall come into force on 21st August 2005.

Explanatory Note
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order brings into force section 5 of the Railways Act 2005 on 21st August 2005.
Section 5 enables the Scottish Ministers to prepare a strategy for carrying out their functions in relation to railways and railway services, and to revise that strategy from time to time.
