CHARITIES

This Order is the third and last Commencement Order made under the Armed Forces (Pensions and Compensation) Act 2004 (“the Act”). It brings into force section 6 and Schedule 2 of the Act (on 11 November 2005) and Schedule 3 (to the extent that it has not already been commenced) of the Act (on 1 January 2006). These provisions relate to the Royal Patriotic Fund Corporation (“the Corporation”), and provide for the transfer of the Corporation’s property and staff to a charity registered under the Charities Act 1993.
