This Order applies section 246 of the Civil Partnership Act 2004 (“the Act”) to paragraph 7 of part 3 of Schedule 1 to the Social Security (Categorisation of Earners) Regulations 1978 (S.I. 1978/1689) (“the 1978 Regulations”).

The Treasury are a Minister of the Crown within the meaning of the Ministers of the Crown Act 19751.
The Treasury make the following Order in exercise of the power conferred upon a Minister of the Crown by section 247(2)(b) of the Civil Partnership Act 20042.
